SUMMARY
Jeffrey Kore holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tropical Forestry from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology and is an EU-FCCB Scholar affiliated with the New Guinea Binatang Research Centre. His research examines epiphytic community composition and host tree preferences in the montane forests of Mt. Wilhelm, employing standardized vertical stratification and cluster sampling methods to study orchids and ferns across different elevational zones.
Jeffrey’s work addresses significant knowledge gaps in Papua New Guinea’s epiphyte ecology and aims to develop biodiversity indicators that can support sustainable forest management decision-making. Committed to conservation and capacity building, he is dedicated to advancing ecological research and strengthening local scientific expertise in tropical forest biodiversity.
